If the processor model number ends in "U" -- for example i7-4500U, then it's definitely soldered.
The last socketed mobile CPUs were the 4th-gen (AKA Haswell, circa 2013) Core i5/i7 like the Core i5-4300M (dual core, 37w TDP) and Core i7-4800MQ (quad-core, 47w TDP). These were used in workstation-class laptops.

Yep definitely un Acer is soldered, so no need to check na un isa.
These are the times I can really see the advantage of desktop but still mobility is want I need.
So bili nalang bago and hopefully it would serve me 4-5 years.

question tungkol dito sa MSI Gp60 2OD laptop na handme down ng brother ko.
Broken ang screen nya , hindi na makita yung bios nya may alam po ba kayong way na ma output yung bios sa external monitor??
naubos na yata ng google fu ko yung mga possible solutions...disconnected flex, tried hdmi and vga..
(working yung output nya to external before, eh mistake ko nag format ako ng hard disk...dumb move talaga ko nun)
any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

does anyone know where to find the RAM slots of the Acer Travelmate P245M? I saw one in YT pero hindi naman na expose yung RAM slot.
Meron ba dyan nakapag upgrade ng RAM on the same model? I already removed the bottom cover of the laptop to no avail.

good day. kaya niyo ba ma-identify anong connector/port ito? i have a similar laptop sans the optical drive, may caddy siya for additional ssd/hdd pero walang adaptor from sata to this port.

Possible na either welded yung ram sa board or nasa top yung slot, sa ilalim ng kb. That is, kung di mo siya nakita after removing the back cover. -

based on online images visible dapat yung ram slot. sa laptop ko exposed agad yung ram slot after removing the back/bottom cover, pero dyan sa na google kong image may aluminum shielding pa yung ram.
maybe you can post a picture of your laptop with the cover removed? -
It only means that the Travelmate P245M has variants. May kasunod pa yang "P245M-", doon malalaman ang physical differences.

Got a Samsung EVO 860 from PC Worx via Lazada and nasa loob ng box is the SSD itself lang. Nung kinabit ko sa laptop ok naman pero there's nothing holding it in place aside from the back cover that is... Ok lang ba yun? -

Have bought some SSDs. None of them came with a bracket, even the Samsung 850 EVO.
If you don't want to spend a few hundred on a bracket, use some adhesive-backed velcro strips or duct tape. -

Oh ok thanks. Guess they really don't come with a bracket. I'll just do some DIY to prevent the SSD from hitting the laptop's underside. -
If it's a laptop, a small piece of folded paper, cardboard, etc. works well as a spacer.

update lang sa mahiwagang port. dvd sata connector nga siya. bumili ako ng drive caddy, kinahoy ko yung sata adaptor niya at kinabit ko sa built in spacer/caddy ni laptop.
i had the ideapad upgraded from 1tb hdd to 128gb ssd, d: ngayon yung 1tb, also added 8gb ddr4 on its lone ddr4 slot. feels way faster (as expected), but our older thinkpad t460 is faster.

any fix sa natanggal na key (letter E) sa thinkpad T460? replace the whole keyboard? basag na yung parang hinge nung key (not the mechanism itself) -

Unless you find the same type of T460 keyboard to harvest a replacement 'E' key from, (IIRC Lenovo sources them from at least 2 different manufacturers: Sunrex, Chicony, and maybe Alps), full keyboard replacement is the only option. -

Bumili ako ng secondhand na Dell Latitude E7470 sa Janstore. Ayus na ayus pa yung unit, kahit yung battery health okay na okay pa. Pero just in case lang in the future, saan ba ako makakabili ng original na battery?

Meron binigay saken na laptop ang bayaw ko, company used. Need ko iformat para fresh ang windows. pero upon checking, di ko maaccess ang bios. BTW Dell Vostro yun unit. nagsearch na ako sa website kung paano iaccess pero negative, tried replacing the hard disk pero error naman at di parin ma access. Pahelp please... Thanks In advance. -

Sounds like UEFI fastboot bullsh*t. There's a way to force Windows to go to the BIOS/UEFI setup on reboot, I can't remember it at the moment. -

last year dinis-assemble ko yung laptop ko na asus k53sj. nung inopen ko na nag ka problema. chineck ko ulit at nasunog yung cable sa power button meron siyang black lines na parang sunog. so hindi na gumana ulit yung laptop. tanong ko lang ano ba tawag doon sa cable at san kaya nakakabili?
ganyan itsura nung cable. sobrang nipis niya at yung width nya halos 1-2mm lang. binilang ko rin 6pin ata siya.

That's a flex cable. I suggest that you bring the laptop to a shop and ask if replacements are available. You might also need to have that circuit board replaced too.
