With all the news about li ion powered devices like BT earbuds exploding, is it a good idea to have ANY li ion based devices in your car?

An AA based flashlight might be safer although less powerful. Use primary AA's if its not used much or NiMh if you use it a lot

    Cree SKY-1064 30000W Ultrafire 6000 Lumens 5Modes CREE XML T6 LED @ 579pesos?

  • up
  • void..usually iwasan ang mga "fire" products, not unless surefire brand

    wow 6000lumens for 579Php - delikado yan

About leaving Li-Ion batteries in the car - it's highly arguable that Li-Ions will blow if packaged properly
The issues usually start from unscrupulous vendors who sell no matter what
I have two flashlights always in the car with me - 3400mAh and 24000mAh batts loaded
20,000mAh power bank for my action pseudo dash cam

There are times I leave the car out in the sun but no issues.
So long as the equipment is good and not damaged it will not blow up.
You just have to have a strict maintenance and TLC for your lights and batts
Rotate and dispose is one good habit

  • Hi there.

I just want to know where I could buy silicone O-rings to replace the ones that have deteriorated in some of my flashlights. PM me na lang if it's not allowed to post store names in this thread.

    Thank you. =)
  • ^Marami nyan you can order online. You can also get it from hardware stores.
  • @roceanoz -- I'd rather buy from physical stores.
Any hardware stores in particular? Ace? Handyman?
  • kakakuha ko lang ng order ko ng 2 fl's from aliex after waiting for a month. yung isa ok na ok, yung isa di gumagana.

    hayyy..the perils of ordering online.
  • @rodelm172
Try your local hardware store, talyer, motor shop, or machine shop. Parehas lang naman ginagamit na o-rings ng mga sasakyan at appliances. Sa sizes ka na lang mahihirapan. However silicone pala ang hinahanap mo and I was thinking rubber, sorry. Baka yung iba may alam kung saang shop makakabili ng silicone o rings.

    @Arutha
Baka may short or open lang sa circuit. Anong light ba?
  • convoy s8..di ko pa nasubukan baklasin...at wala din akong tester na pang check. hehe

as a last resort you could try making them using liquid silicone gasket
  • @roceanoz & AmalgamvsAloof

Thanks for your inputs. I don't think is rubber a better material for O-rings for water-sealing purposes. I will see if I can fabricate my own but I doubt if I'll do a good job at it. There are lots being sold online but they are at least 50 pcs ... some are even 200+ or 300+ pcs. Jeez, I only need a few pieces...
