daming hilig makialam sa hobby ng iba. bakit ganito? bakit ganyan? as if gets nila hobby ng iba. LOL
Also, kung wala na talagang point ang discs and players, eh di sana tinigil na ang pag-manufacture sa kanila. Even Netflix releases their own films and shows on discs. And Criterion Collection just started releasing 4K discs this year. Eh parang ngayon pa nga lang talagang dumadami ang install base ng 4K TVs and players (because of the new gen consoles that have built-in 4K Bluray drives). Vinyl records nga naging uso ulit eh, never nawala ang mga vintage record shops, and even CRT TVs may mga enthusiasts willing to pay a lot for "outdated" tech, because for them it's subjectively better. If only the 2nd hand dealers held on to a few highly-prized HD CRT models then, they would have made a killing selling to retro tech hunters today.
Perfect VRR implementation is not easy lalo na pag may local dimming involved. Kahit LG OLEDs may flickering at gamma issues at certain situations.
Now I know why G-sync ultimate monitors are expensive and often delayed.
Need your suggestions mga sirs: oled or full array? I'm looking at LG C1 or Sony X90j. Medyo nabago ang choices after some research - initially LG nano sana gusto ko due to budget limitations.
More on netflix, youtube, at nba channel siguro pagdating ng playoffs.
TIA
^ oled is best sa dark room. nothing beats an oled when it comes to picture quality.
medyo maganda na anti burn features ng current oled tvs versus those from 4-5 years ago. unless you have a static image for 12 hrs on your screen then you'll be fine. madami na din testing ginagawa rtings about it.
trust me when you get an led pag nanuod ka sa gabi, mapapaisip ka dapat nag oled ka na lang. lol.
I have Sony X95G which is a full array LED.... I love it. If I could ...I'll hug my TV! I like it that much...Haha! BUT...I think my next TV will be an OLED!! Nung binili ko yung sa'kin medyo kulang pa ko sa budget....so, I was not able to get the Bravia OLED, but in your case, if money is not an issue, then I'll go for OLED na all the way.
Don't worry about the burn-in issues....as long as walang static image dun sa mga programs na pinapanood mo, you'll be fine. Also Sony and LG are implementing ways to prevent this--so kung casual TV viewer ka lang naman yung normal movies, sports, and TV shows--I will not worry about it. I'm sure in the future, pag mag-u-upgrade ka na ulit ng TV, walang burn-in yan LG TV mo, pwede mo pa i-benta 2nd hand... hehehe!

Sa tingin ko brightness during the day will not be that much of an issue kase yung mga nakikita ko sa mall well lit naman ang area pero goods pa rin ang dating sa akin.
We rarely watch cable tv programs kaya medyo makakaiwas ako sa static images.
Baka C1 na lang kunin ko, sana bumaba pa konti price in 2 months before we move in to the new house.
Naka LG C1 48" ako ngayon. Happy naman ako lalo na after calibration. May mga OLED preservation features siya katulad ng screensaver, pixel shifting, automatic brightness limiter at static logo dimming so hindi ako masyado concerned sa burn-in kahit ginagamit ko siya for console gaming and sometimes PC gaming.
For me, bitin lang talaga yung peak brightness ng C1 pagdating sa HDR at Dolby Vision content at prone to luminance clipping (over exposure of bright highlights) at black crush (loss of shadow detail in dark areas) kung hindi calibrated. The thing is, I always use my OLED with daylight from the window or with the room lights on pero kaya pa rin naman. In fact, one of the best anti reflective glossy screens yung na experience ko sa C1.
I've seen the potential doon sa Apple Pro Display XDR and miniled haloing isn't as much of an issue in lit environments provided accurate yung local dimming processing niya.

Kung movies, Sony is better kasi mas accurate yung factory calibration at image processing niya, thus better image quality doon sa out of the box presets niya.
Medyo old model na pero nakabili kami Sony 55 A9G for 53k a week ago, yung LG na 55 was around 69k so malaki na rin natipid kahit older model, maganda quality ng screen and sound. This replaced an old non-Android Samsung smart TV.
Walang mabilhan ng PS5 ng hindi OP eh. Ayaw ko naman Xbox. Any other suggestions?
4K Bluray player or HD Bluray player lang? Was able to buy a Sony 4K Bluray player last May nung Lazada sale pero parang out of stock na.
Black nalang kasi display kapag pinawer on.
