Definitely fabricated. Probably a mix of wood and metal.
  • Uu ngA parang hirap ng cabling nyan

    Sana mahanapan nyo ng paraan

There might be a hole where the pivot is, big enough for the power and HDMI cables.

Also, I think that it only rotates 180 degrees and not freely rotating. Otherwise the cables would get twisted.

One problem I see is the lack of ventilation holes.
    return swivel ang tawag.

  • ^ Doesn't solve the cable routing issue. IMO the pivot itself could be made from tubular steel pipe at least 1.5 inches in diameter. There would be a small notch at the pipe, and with a corresponding notch on the frame to limit the rotation angle.

More pics. I want to see the end result. :D

Hope it works well. :D

Today's hack(?) or more like emergency surgery-- friend accidentally put the SIM inside his iPhone without the SIM tray. We managed to pull it out using two sewing pins. :D

friend accidentally put the SIM inside his iPhone without the SIM tray.

my cheap 10yr old generic multi-tester, 150.00 petot yata bili ko dati.

  • Care to explain what it's supposed to be doing?
  • Pardon me guys. It's my SAMSUNG NP300E4C that has been EFI locked and i can't get to BIOS so I ordered a CH341a bios programmer and used flashrom just to recover it. The problem is the bios cannot be flashed habang nkakabit sa board kaya gumawa ako ng adhoc wiring using a broken sdcard reader and sdcard adapter, wired it to a board where i soldered the bios then wired the board to the SDcard reader. With that, hindi na ako solder/desolder when bios flash fails, i just unplug, flash, then replug it and when i get locked again sa EFI screen i can just simply repeat the flashing.
  • That's one crazy mod/repair.

So the wires from the SD card slot go to where the ROM flash chip used to be?

EFI locked? so there's some kind of fault in the firmware? have you tried replacing the flash ship itself?
  • Yes it's a known issue with samsung np300 and similar models and flashing lang ang makakaayos. Wala ako donor board eh walang kapalit. 8 wires from the pads on mobo wired to sd card reader then same with the sd card adapter. It's crazy man. kala ko kaput na nung hindi nag-on first time but some bad connection lang pala. Napraktis ko din smd soldering haha

    UEFI lock pala not EFI.

  • I'm happy to report that I've succeeded in replacing the 3x AAA battery pack in my CD-R King Iris LED flashlight <click here for link> with a single 18500 Li-Ion cell-- it's the same diameter as the common 18650 Li-ion cell, but a bit shorter (same length as an AA battery).

No need for spacers or extensions. The spring contacts on both ends hold it pretty securely.

    :D

I was originally going to use a 14500 cell (exactly the same size as an AA battery, but it's 3.6-3.7v like most Lithium cells), but changed my mind upon seeing its low capacity -- only 750mAh compared to 1500 for the 18500.

  • Recycling my old broken laptop's lcd with a lvds driver from laz.

    The board:

    result:

Native resolution ng lcd is 1280 x 800 pero walang jumper for that ang meron closest is 1360 x 768 so sablay yung display but usable. Need ko pa i-reconfigure yung LVDS cable for my lcd model. It was fun weekend project.
  • ^
Plan to do the same in the (hopefully) near future. Can you PM me a link to particular item you bought?
  • Link: <click here for link>
have the datasheet for your lcd ready - save you the headache later.
  • @rufnek
It has VGA input only? It would have been better with more inputs like HDMI/DVI.

Does it come with a LVDS cable, or do you have to make one yourself?
  • @awakeruze

Mine has only vga but other drivers are available with HDMI/AV like this one <click here for link> mas mahal nga lang.

LVDS cable included but double check with your model if kasama. I have to re-config the pins for my LCD as per datasheet.
