If your going for branded and brand new then pricey siya! pero kung related sa work mo it's a good investment! meron naman sir na mga alternative like 3rd party brand, 2nd hand/pre-owned tapos meron din manual focus teleconverters...

Yung may ISO, aperture at shutter speed. Wala ko masyado idea about sa current brands.
Let me know kung anong magandang models and kung saan maganda makabili. TIA

Maraming brands na pwedeng pagpilian. Pinaka sikat dyan yung Nikon, canon at pati sony. Pwede na yun for practice cam.
Actually, binebenta ko sony SLT gears ko kaso marami syang kasama at baka mapamahal lang sya so as much as would like to, hindi ko na lang recommend syo. As for the model, pick the cheapest DSLR you or her could find para hindi man magamit parati, hindi masama sa loob yung nagastos kahit pa na nakatambak lang yung gear.

...kung sakali mag decide yung sister mo between Nikon or Canon DSLR... I suggest kung my friends sya na may ganun brands! get familiar with the ergonomics and functions kaya lang baka mabigatan siya sa mga DSLR body... For me, I've tried both brands pero mas naging hiyang ako sa Nikon and it's configurations kaya bumile muna ako ng Pre-owned/2nd Hand na Nikon...

An old image and probably my very first attempt at night photography.
Shot in Singapore back in 2012 while standing at the helix bridge in marina. This is the SG business district skyline at night. I was using my very first practice DSLR (a Nikon D40) for this with just a kit lens (18-55) and a tripod. Aperture set on 3.8, iso 200 and 2 sec exposure.
Minor global post processing done in PS for cropping, adjusting brightness and sharpness. This is also just a JPEG file (I didn't know how to shoot RAW yet at that time).

thanks man! actually hindi yan long exposure, kasi the moving boats should've come out as light trails instead.
Night shots are actually not my thing. Nasubukan ko din mag street tsaka long exposure pero those are just for the heck of it. I'm more into macro and portrait/glamour, beauty - hilig ko sumali sa mga paid shoots dati sa SG. 2013 was the last time i actively used my cameras.

trip ko yung mga still life photography..... product/commercial shot, long exposure and light painting... lalo na kapag brown-out walang kuryente at madilim... nakakainis lang kapag malamok at pinapawisan sa init...

which is why i watermark my shots tulad sa taas.

Spigot, Studs for Google Search purposes... kung ano lang mapagtripan kong pang stock photo like bottle of shampoo, ballpen tapos upload and then pag nasa cache na ng search engine saka ko idelete kaya most of the time I don't place signature or watermark since pang generic lang yung upload... dagdag kalat ako kay google... hahah

guys, if you truly care about your works I would strongly suggest you watermark them especially if you have a habit of putting it up online. You wouldn't want others stealing your shots and making money out of your own property, would you?
Buuuttt....if you don't mind throwing out your works for the world to use then feel free to spread them out...
just sayin'
