No problem. I remember someone asking for UPS advice at the Seasonic thread, but can't remember if there was a definite answer.

Just a warning: some external drives don't use a separate USB to SATA converter board, but integrate the USB port into the HDD's circuit board.

Yung WD ganun, built-in sa HDD board yung converter.
    So pwede yung balak ko?

It will work. I've done it on a Seagate Expansion Basic before. :D
  • @awakeruze
    Salamat, Sir!

Have you tested it in other PCs or laptops with USB 3.0 ports?

Issue: intermittent freezing for few secs to ~2mins

.... pero most of the time secs lang sya... it is happening mostly after windows log-in screen

Items done are defrag, scandisk, virus scan, registry fix using ccleaner.. pero ganun pa rin

    Tnx in advance...
Salamat!

    Sige check ko to. Thanks.
  • @nivla18

Get HD Tune and run the Benchmark. Compare with this screenshot of two different HDDs: <click here for link>

The graph on the right is normal -- transfer rate should be more or less a gentle curve going down.

The one on the left means that transfer rate drops down to < 10 MB/s at certain points. This also means that the HDD is having trouble accessing certain portions of the disk surface.

It's recommended that you back up important data in your drive before proceeding.

  • Meron bang way to move [from x86] into x64 [for free] pero acknowledged pa rin ang digital entitlement for user's license?

    up ko lang eto. ty
  • bottleneck ba i5 4th gen sa gtx 750 ti?
  • @masterbakeshop
I have absolutely no idea whether it work or not., as I don't know anyone who tried to do the same.

You can try installing the 64-bit version, but you need to make a backup image of your current HDD, so you can restore it later if activating the 64-bit version fails.
An alternative is to replace your HDD with an empty one, and Install the 64-bit version there. That way you can simply swap HDDs to go back to the current Windows install.
  • @awakeruze
    sige sir noted.
  • Hi guys,

    question:
    2. how to fix a display issue sa monitor?

    Up! Anyone?

Thanks!
  • ^
Same duration IMO, since DoD 5220.22-M overwrites the disk 3 times.
  • Same duration IMO, since DoD 5220.22-M overwrites the disk 3 times

I see. 1TB kasi yung hard drive. Kung same duration, mas okay na siguro yung one at a time na zero fill para hindi masyado matagal naka on yung PC, tama ba idea ko?
I mean, may time magpahinga yung PC especially na napaka-init ngayon.
