  • Good day po! Ask lng po sana ako ng tulong with mikrotik router configuration for mikroticket? TIA!
  • salamt comp071..

You might want to ask in other threads, this is one is not specific to LAN/router issues, like the Microtik thread <click here for link> or the official networking thread: <click here for link>.
  • Hi Guys,

    Going back sa problema ko before. Whenever i enable the XMP profile, nag boot loop sya. Below are my rig spec;

    CPU: i5 - 8400
    RAM: TridentZ 2x4 3200Mhz
Mobo: Gigabyte Z370M D3H (With F10 BIOS version)

Whenever XMP Profile is enabled, nag oopen naman sya kaso after a few seconds nag BSOD then nag reboot loop na (as in patay sindi lang yung ilaw sa rig). Naayos ko naman sya nung naka pasok ako sa BIOS at dinisable ko yung XMP profile (currenly running at 2133Mhz), so far stable sya if within this speed lang. Kaso syempre, i want to get more out of my hardware.

Meron na pala BIOS Update (F11c) kaso im hesitating to update and try to enable XMP profile kasi baka di nako makapasok ng BIOS at di ko na ma-disable yung XMP.

I'm not sure kung alin yung sira, is it the RAM or the Mobo? Planning to replace the faulty component asap para naman makuha ko yung worth ng item.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you TPC fam!

Stick to 2133MHz, then run the BIOS update.
If you need to disable XMP but can't enter BIOS, it may be easier to just remove the CMOS battery.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but AFAIK XMP must be manually enabled, so if the CMOS data is reset, it will default to the normal (and safe) RAM settings.

  • @awakeruze

    Hi Sir, just for confirmation...

You want me to stick at 2133Mhz then update the BIOS. After that, do you want me to enable the XMP profile to test if the RAM would run at 3200Mhz?

If by any chance that my initial problem happened again, what i need to do then is to clear the CMOS batt for it to reset to its default RAM settings. Correct?
  • ^sang ram slot po nakalagay yung 2 sticks, and natry nyo na i manual set yung timings based on default timings nakalagay sa ram sticks?
  • @seanne

    Yes.

Well, just to be safe, you could run a RAM test like memtest86+ to ensure that the RAM is stable at 2133MHz. Let it complete 2 passes. If no errors are detected then you can proceed with the BIOS update.
  • @CrkDice

Let me explain it on my own terms, from left to right "Black-Gray-Black-Gray" slots.. dun sya nakalagay sa gray slots. hehe.

    @awakeruze

Will definitely git it a try when i get home. :)

    Thanks guys!

  • ^its not normal per se, but not defective, its just a coil whining, or vibration ng induction coil , general cause is loose yung loops ng induction wires sa loob, stick glue can temporarily fix it.

i think your gpu is dying but it only needs reheating, you can do the oven trick method, usually sa tagal mo ng ginagamit, nagkakarun sila ng cold solder yung main chip whichi is nag loloose contact na yung ibang connectors beneath, masiadong mahal yung 3500, if malapit ka sa mrt shaw, sa 2nd floor northbound budgetsandgadgets look for william, 400 lang singil, advance yung pang reheat na machine nya dun if you dont want to risk the oven method

may mga kamalasan din talaga tayong naeexperience and sa kasamaang palad, nag cocoincide kung kelan me bago tayong partz, like me i was excited to install my new 500 gig ssd, then pagkasaksak ko ngspark socket kasi medyo maluwag then gpu dead on the spot,

Question: may HP G42 laptop (AMD CPU) yung pinsan ko, na-reheat na dati kaso bumalik yung problema after a year or so.
  • @calamardee

go here, we already talk about that <click here for link>

in short, you might as well deal with the coil whine, its normal, electronics 101, if you hate it that much, then buy a specialized hardware like a series of "be quiet" components or go take a electonics engineering course and invent a replacement for inductors that eliminates noise.
  • Pa tulong po. Installed 12gb Ram 3.93 GB Ram Usable.

Then tinry namin iboot tapos ayaw nya magtuloy sa windows. After that, tinanggal na po namin ung gpu tried to boot ulit pero ayaw na nya magboot. Ano oo kayang problema ntio?
  • ^ try mo linisin yung ram slots at ram contacts
  • @joeryan

Both bnew. Tia
  • pede bang plug n play yung windows os? dami kong nakikitang nag titinda ng hdd with pre installed os na gagana ba yun magkaibang hardware?
  • ^Nope, yun OS kase may drivers for hardware na detected niya upon installation.
  • @tpcjml

If it's an OEM install (laptop/desktop came preinstalled with Win 10), then the answer is no, same with OEM installs of Win 7 and 8/8.1, then upgraded to Win 10 during the now-ended free Win 10 upgrade period.
  • medyo outdated na kayo ah, with newer os today like Windows 10, pwede mo na gamitin yung HDD sa ibang computer to your new computer, kailangan mo lang install yung drivers like videocard and stuff. this is very useful for major computer upgrades.

hindi na ito katulad dati ng 7 or 8 or xp, though you can make those thing work by just using the windows installation disk and enter maintenance mode to reinstall the SATA/AHCI drivers.

of course, after the migration, you have to deal with licensing. of course for windows 10, this is not a issue lalo na kung retail key yung ginamit nyo (not OEM) that is paired with your MSCDN account as your default windows login (if you bought your windows licensce online paired with your microsoft account, or bought it on Windows Store, auto activate na yan as soon as login).

  • ^Yes, but the question was very generic. Technically it can be used but we can't verify if it will be a valid licensed product. So I opted to say na di pwede.
  • @t3nma

There's a high chance that It won't be validated as genuine, especially OEM preinstalled ones.

Laptops that come with Windows 10 preinstalled have the license and product key embedded in the BIOS. If its HDD is installed in a different machine, Windows will detect that the license and product key are missing.
