  • not bad..... this has potential
  • $200.... yes, at that price I am definitely grabbing one.
  • i want...
  • hmmm.. ipon mode na kaagad for this one!
  • pwede kaya may bibili or mag-oorder sa US tapos ipadala lang sa atin dito sa pinas?
  • amf 10k na laptop?
  • since it\'s an asus, it\'ll get here in time
  • ano kayang klaseng flash storage niya? mahal kung SSD, so hindi siguro SSD. Low performance naman kung SD or MMC na dumaan sa USB. Baka compact flash.
  • not to mention may built-in na wifi + webcam, not bad indeed, hehe.
  • I\'ll buy this one, topic bookmarked for more updates about this awesomely crafted baby.
  • starting @ $200? wala tong DVD-rom no? hhmm...
  • wala yata, but then, most modern BIOSes can boot using external CD/DVD drives.
  • at 10k good buy na to...
  • Talbog na ang iPhone!

This is going to be the next big craze.
  • Talbog na ang iPhone!

  • this looks nice, might purchase one when it comes out. ang only problem na nakikita ko is the LCD screen, i thnk 7 inches is a bit too small especially when you\'re browsing
  • Just use a magnifying glass! ;)
  • it uses SSD for storage pala, sabi sa asus web site.
  • July or August daw ang planned launch.
  • pwede kaya games dyan kahit gta san andreas lang?
  • wow, kung magiging parang PSP na mini laptop yan.. ok sa olrayt!!!
  • this could be the gadget of the year.
  • @lotec

  • Innovations for Ideal Portability
During the brief show-and-tell, Shih held the small notebook in one palm and showed off some of the key functions of the Eee PC. Courtesy to its 2Gb SSD flash storage, the Eee PC boots up quickly within 15 seconds, and provides an excellent mobile Internet experience with easy connectivity to the world wide web and allows users to make video VoIP calls. Weighing a featherlight 0.89 kg, the Eee PC offers a wireless freedom with compact mobility.

    An Easy Price to Swallow
Shih also stated that ASUS plans to start shipping the units in July or August, with a target of selling 200,000 units this year – all under the ASUS brand. Amid gasps from the audience, the Eee PC units were revealed to come in at an extremely competitive price of around USD $199 for the 7\" units, and about USD $299 for the 10\" version.
