The LCD Monitors Thread: Tips, Tricks, Tweaks, New Products and Reviews

  • @psyq

    Step 1:

    http://www.geforce.com/hardware/technology/dsr

    Example:

    4352x2448

    Step 2:

    https://www.sven.de/dpi/

Then calculate mo yung DPI na kailangan mo sa bagong resolution mo then set mo din yun sa Windows 10 display settings (Advanced sizing of text and other items):

    4352x2448 x 27" = 184%

    Step 3:

Windows ClearType para umayos yung fonts

Kasi pag Windows 7 for some reason ay gagawa ka lang ng custom resolution sa Nvidia Control panel eh
  • Try ko mamaya pag-uwi
  • Ano sa tingin niyo mas okay? BenQ VZ2350HM or LG 23MP68VQ? Naghihintay lang ako ng reviews :D
  • ^ both IPS, FULL HD(1080p), slim bezel design

    pero si LG freesync sya.

I'll vote for LG just because of the extra Freesync feature.

But please take note that you need an AMD APU or GPU for Freesync to work. :)

  • pero the benq model is ah-ips while lg's is ips. sa mga nabasa ko ah-ips > ips. pero parang may gimmik si lg sa ips nila. dunno kung ano yun e. another thing going for the lg is the freesync feature, as pointed out by raffydooo . may mga nabasa na din akong nakapag-OC successfully w/ freesync monitors using nvidia cards
  • It is a given that the LG will be able to do 75hz at its default resolution of 1920x1080. You just have to set a custom resolution via the Nvidia control panel if you are an Nvidia GPU user. Whether it can OC more than its rated 75hz or not remains to be seen...

Thanks maxq for pointing that out. :D

I read somewhere that you can also use Custom Resolution Utility (CRU) to OC your monitor for AMD card users. Is there anyone here who tried using CRU?

  • @Dyaems

Kailangan lang i-adjust yung PPI slider at yung ClearType, post ako ng screenshot later :D

Almost no input lag at color accurate sya, what is there not to like?

    @raffydooo

  • The LG 23MP68VQ uses LG's Neo Blade I (slim bezel/"frameless") AH-IPS panel. This panel has been around since 2014 and can be found in monitors made by AOC, Asus, BenQ, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Philips, among others.

LG has a new generation of Neo Blade III panels that make the bottom bezel as thin as the other 3 sides. I think it's being used in their own 88 series.
