Mga sir, yun bang mga additional allocation na kasama sa GoSurf like ung 10GB for Youtube sa GoSurf299 applicable din kung nakatether. Like watching Youtube sa PC na nakatether sa phone na nakasubscribe sa GoSurf299, yung 10GB for Youtube ba yung macoconsume or dun sa 2GB for normal browsing sya babawas? Thanks!

^last time i did this tethering oo dun nagbabawas sa video package pag nag youtube ka... make sure lang na youtube lang gaganit ng internet mo at di yung mga running background ng OS ng pc mo i.e windows update

hindi lang ako sure kung naayos na ngayon, pero last year ata na try ko na yang "metered connection", pero nag uupdate pa din. lol.
Edit: btw, nagtataka ako bakit meron parin nag su-subscribe sa G0Surf promos eh lugi ka actually sa data dun. Mas ok yung Go Promos nila kung e tether mo lang naman din sa phone. Unli call and text pa (if needed) compared sa GoSurf. Suggestion lang naman.

Hi mga papz, Tanong lang po if may nakapag-upgrade na dito from LTE Plan 1299 (10mpbs 150 GB) to Mimo Plan 1699 (20mbps 600GB) through black market? Plano kasi namin mag-upgrade sa mimo project plans kaso to no avail, na-try na namin via Globe At Home app or CSR hotline kaso lang ayaw nila kasi hindi pa dw serviceable sa area namin ang mimo plan. Halos 5 years na kami subscriber ng globe pero ever since wala man lang inoffer na upgrade which sucks pero we have no choice kasi eto lang ang ISP na serviceable sa amin. So yun na nga, may nag-ooffer sa fb ng upgrade at mukhang legit naman kasi process first sila, no upgrade no pay.
Few questions lang po if ever we upgrade through black market:
1.) If upgraded, relock-in ba ulit ng 24 months? Yes or No?
2.) If Yes, Ano po mangyayari dun sa "unli g2g wireless" or "unli bb bundle" na included sa bill, free ulit ba for 24months or icha-charge parin sa plan?
3.) Meron po ba mga add-ons na included sa plan? If yes, ano ano po yun?
4.) Magkano po monthly bill for the first few months? flat 1699 po ba babayaran monthly if there are no add-ons included?

Sorry I'm not an expert regarding this pero sagutin ko lang po yung nalalaman ko based on personal experience:
1. Wala pong nabanggit sa akin kung may relocking so hindi ko sigurado ito
2. Yung sa akin kasi natapos ko na 24-months contract kaya may +99 na ako sa bill since libre lang yan for 24 months. Pwede mo ipa-cut kung di mo na kailangan
3. Meron akong libreng Amazon Prime Video for 3 months
4. Pro-rated bill. Babayaran mo yung naconsume sa old plan then new plan + 1 month

ako ikinabit sa amin LTE 5Mbps 150Gb, yung MIMO 20Mbps 600Gb ang ipinapakabit ko ayaw nila, out of range daw ako sa mapping ng kanilang network eh samantalang more or less 600Mtrs lang yung tower sa amin.. wala pang isang kilometro. so ayon naghanap ako sa black market para maremote yung account ko from LTE 5Mbps 150Gb into MIMO 20Mbps 600Gb.. may additional sa first three months sa bill pag ka migrate sa MIMO kahit unofficial yung migration. yung router ganon pa din.. walang dadalaw na technician para magkabit sa bagong connection basta via remote yung upgrade.. requirements 2Months old yung plan at walang utang sa internet bill.. process first yung sakin nun inupgrade muna then nagbayad ako(1000peso) ewan ko lang kung ganon pa din bayaran.. last year ako nag pa upgrade mga bandang august 2020 yata nun.. nung nagrequest ako ng bagong modem para sa MIMO at bagong telepono sa globe, nagtaka mga technician lol.. hindi daw mahanap yung records ko sa system nila yung plan ko. at nagtaka din sila kung bakit naka MIMO ako eh hindi sakop yung location ko... yung monthly eh 1699 pesos.
Edit: pinalitan naman yung router ko for MIMO pero kamot sila ng ulo haha, kung pano ako nakapag MIMO.

Apparently, Globe already deploys 5G n41. Kaso 20MHz wide lang siya (at least where I am in QC). It still reaches 100 Mbps+ in good conditions kaso you can only get so much speed with that amount of spectrum.
It would explain why mababa yung overall 5G speed results ng Globe (n41 20MHz, n78 60MHz) vs Smart (n41 60MHz, n78 40MHz). Though where I live, Globe has a better quality signal so it doesn't degrade as bad as Smart kapag indoors.
Still, palaisipan pa rin sa akin why ayaw siyang kagatin ng Huawei 5G CPE Pro 1 ko (aka 5G Inactive). Since walang Globe n78 5G signal na nasasagap sa room ko, i'm stuck with LTE+ (which is actually faster than Globe n41 5G with peaks of 250-300Mbps both sa phone and CPE Pro) and as a result I can't utilize Globe Unli5G promos with Huawei 5G CPE Pro 1 ko inside my room.
My hunch is either 'di good enough signal quality (though Smart's n41 actually has worse signal stats pero it still triggers 5G active status) and/or naliliitan sa amount of spectrum yung current firmware ng Huawei 5G CPE Pro 1 ko.

It appears Globe LTE Band 8 (900 MHz) is already active in certain cell towers.
Sa akin nasasagap pa lang pero malayo kaya di kinakagat. 10Mhz*2 channel width which is roughly the same as Band1 and Band 3.
Musta experience niyo with it sa mga areas na may active Band 8 na?

active na sa area ko band8. same lang sa ibang band like b28, pansin ko lang ang gulo ng network config ni globe, everytime na mag change band ako nag iiba din yung PCI nya, its like sa isang tower meron lang specific band na naka assign, unlike ng kay smart, sa isang tower meron multiple band, kaya pag nag change band ka same PCI lang sya, pansin ko din na mas mataas yung alloted chanel width per band ng kay smart, lamang lang si globe sa B41 nya dahil naka 20Mhz*2

Well, in general mas maraming na-assign sa Smart na spectrum (except in some bands) as well dahil na rin sa mga na-acquire na company ng PLDT group in the past hence mas malaki na-aasign nila. Though in my experience medyo underwhelming performance nila considering na malaki-laki din spectrum nila pero in areas na very well-maintained nila, hataw kung hataw.
As for 900MHz, malaki ang meron dun ang Globe na they can actually refarm it to LTE na di randam sa 2G/3G. Though up to Why it took them until now is a mystery top me tbh. Smart will need to sacrifice 2G or 3G to use it for LTE since isa yun sa konti ang meron sila and di rin nadagdagan ng Sun Cellular acquisition. Up to 10MHz lang maximum channel size ng 900MHz Band 8 though similar sa Band 5 850MHz.
As for PCI, based on maps ay isang tower can have multiple bands. mukhang for organizational purposes ay ini-iba-iba nila PCI number despite same physical tower location. kaya sa eNB/ECI ako nagbe-based ng location though rare din ako mag-PCI locking tbh.
Globe n41 5G performs quite well despite 20MHz lang channel width and malawak coverage. Though very dependent siya sa ENDC to perform well. In my area, LTE band locking can have drastic 5G performance difference with B28 as an anchor band helping it reach 200Mbps+ speeds compared sa usual ~150Mbps kapag auto (usually Band3 LTE anchor band) though that's due to Band 28 contributing as much as 90Mbps in the 5G ENDC setup.

i think hindi na nila irerefarm yung 900mhz from 3g/2g dahil meron naman silang exclusive na 850mhz same performance lang

parang ganyan na nga network structure ni globe, ang hirap lang mag locate ng decent at congested na physical tower, as per DITO, same sila ni smart ng network infra, magkakasunod yung PCI for each tower

Sa mga naka Huawei 5G modem jan, pag nag force NSA ba kayo, hindi lumilipat sa LTE?
Naka ZTE MC7010 kase ako. Kahit NSA pinili ko, minsan lumilipat to LTE.

Hi po. Ang hina po ng phone signal namin sa loob ng bahay. Mapa-Globe o Sun Cellular, pati na rin po Converge internet natin mabagal. Wala na po kami magagawa sa bahay bilang napalilibutan kami ng mga building. Gumagana po ba ang mga signal booster?Meron po ba kayo marrecommend?

Update regarding Globe n41 5G:
Mukhang in some areas, instead of 20MHz eh 40MHz of n41 naka-deploy. Most likely dahil konti or walang postpaid Home LTE dun (or identified na konti lang Prepaid Home Wifi users). I was actually able to reach 200-300Mbps with it.

HomeSurf 199 na ba talaga ang pinaka sulit so far in terms of volume/GB para sa temporary WFH connection? Tagal kasi magkabit ng fiber sa amin so no choice muna sa either Globe or Gomo for Wireless broadband.
