  • Hello - not sure if this is the right thread but im planning to upgrade my build from 2019 - mobo and CPU sana: R5 3600/MSI B450 Pro Carbon Wifi.

Balak ko sana palitan yung main suspects ko which is the CPU/mobo.

Worth it pa ba mag R5 5600x/5700x ako + MSI B550 Tomahawk Wifi?

Okay pa kaya itong 750w ko from Seasonic?

Lmk your thoughts sana. Salamat mga boss!

    Ano ba GPU mo?

Your problem has to be either the RAM or the GPU.

Update mo firmware ng GPU, update drivers and try a different cable.
Reseat your RAM instead. Try mo muna isang RAM kung mag boot.
  • ^
MSI RTX 2070 Super Gaming Z Trio.

Although I have 2 monitors - yung main ko naka displayport yung 2nd is naka HDMI.

It happens pa din.

The rest of the parts either kailangan may spare ka na PC for testing or sa shop mo ipatroubleshoot.
  • @sydmon:

maybe you can try to consult professionals?... saan mo ba nabili rig mo?... if build 'yan sa isang kilalang shop eh baka pwede mo sa kanilang ipa troubleshoot kung ano ba talaga fault?... or pwede mo rin ipa test sa shops (usually may fee)... provided na mapagkakatiwalaan yung shop and medyo kilala na (pero ingat pa rin kasi mahirap na ma mishandle ang pc parts)...

what you can do... if can... eh to test all your parts in another working rig... swapping parts hanggang ma isolate mo kung ano ba talaga yung culprit/s...

check mo na rin components mo for burn marks or moisture/water stains?... esp. yung mga may pcb's like mobo, gpu and the like?...
  • 7950x @ECO 105, 65. Mas mataas parin ng konti sa 12900k yung CB R23 nT ng 65W 7950x lol. Siguro later on magrerelease din ang AMD ng 7600 & 7700 non-x with similar PPT sa Zen 3, mukhang maganda naman performance kahit hindi piniga yung thermal headroom based sa 7950x ECO mode.

    Very efficient.

Baka maging issue yung availability & pricing + anong performance loss with slower DDR5 ram?

Intentionally na may patong na 20% sa price yung first motherboard shipment & expected na magkakaprice drops lang after Raptor Lake launch or until Q1 next year. Interesting kung magiging aggressive ulit pricing ng Intel like Alder Lake vs Zen 3.

Yes nagclear na rin ako ng CMOS even left BIOS settings to default. Yung sa Windows Logs naman na nakikita ko pag nakalusot magboot after a crash is the ff and various unexpected shutdown warnings/errors:

    Level: Critical
    Source: Kernel-Power
    Event ID: 41
The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

Ako nagbuo nito last 2019.

  • 5800X3D or 5950X?

Not too comfortable constantly running at 95C, we don't live in a colder Western country lol.

edit: Forgot to mention that I own a 2700X and a X470 board.

  • 5800X3D or 5950X?

Unless you're a content creator I would go for 5800X3D since very few games and basic apps will utilize 16-cores and 32-threads.
  • planning to upgrade my current desktop from 1080p to 1440p gaming. anong masasuggest nyong GPU? I have the LG 27GP850.
  • Undervolted 7950x = 35.7k CB R23 nT score @ 55 °C. Sobrang layo na sa 95°C for 5% performance.

That would easily halved his cpu power draw.

  • Sobrang katiting lang performance gains sa gaming thus far from AM4 to AM5 even at 4K reso. Not worth it pa talaga to jump into the new platform mukhang 2nd Gen 7000 series nga ang logical upgrade path.

  • @ccl2003
in a way, parang nakasama pa sa sales ni AMD yung release nila nung X3D iteration nung 5000 series kasi ganyan nga, may parang refresh midway yung chips.

ganyan yung take away ni Linus eh, tingin ko rin nakasama yung claim ni Lisa na yung 7600x can beat the 12900K, naset na mataas expectations nung reviewers. Come test day, biglang, "uhh.. okay" lang nasabi nila.
  • I'm happy with my R7 5700x.

Before that sulit din yung Powercolor Radeon HD 6950 PCS++ na dual BIOS na may switch to 6970 lol.

    @ccl2003
Kahit yung local RDNA2 pricing natin sobrang mahal kung icompare mo before recent price cuts.

Kakagulat. Started buying din ganyang generation.

Nag-"serious" GPU acquisition ako nung GTX 970. Back then 17k na yung card na yun, 2014. Tapos ngayun, ang 70 series, 40k na haha.

On AMD topic, may unveiling date na ba yung RX 7000?

  • Curve optimizer strikes again, and it's even more potent on 7000 series
  • ^

Performace gains are exploited by reduction in temperature. Allowing it to maintain boost until it reaches a certain temperature.

Performance targets for the new cpus are high even small offset drop in voltage is highly effective.

    November 3
  • For share mga nahalungkat ko na pix.

    Sapphire Radeon HD 5870 1GB GDDR5.

Then binenta ko ito at bumili ng 2x na HD 5770 to try crossfire and I regret it.
