Micro ATX users here!

  • Anybody know where to buy the MSI MPG Z390M gaming edge ac matx mobo? Seems to be unavailable here in the Phils.

The MSI MAG Z390M Mortar is available though but it seems to be a cut-down version of it with no SLI support, less USB 3.x slots, less quality audio chip/caps, no wifi, etc.

If size is not too much of an issue, my suggestion is go for ATX or even ITX as you have better Z390 motherboard choices with those form factors. Especially if you are planning to build on an 8-core chip like Core i7-9700K or Core i9-9900K. Surprisingly the Z390 ITX motherboards have better features / better VRM's than the Micro-ATX boards, so consider going ITX if you are aiming for a small build.

You can build a compact gaming PC with an ATX motherboard if you choose a small compact case like Fractal Design Meshify C or NZXT H500. The difference in size going from Micro-ATX to ATX will not be too noticeable, but it allows you to go with full featured motherboards like:

    - MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Edge AC / Gigabyte Z390 AORUS Elite
    - MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Pro Carbon / Gigabyte Z390 AORUS Pro WIFI
    - MSI MEG Z390 Ace / Gigabyte Z390 AORUS Master

If you want a smaller build then consider moving to ITX. The MSI MPG Z390I Gaming Edge AC has very good reviews and is not that more expensive than the Micro-ATX motherboards. High speed memory support on the Z390 ITX motherboards is also above average too.

  • @Gobi: ATX po ata ang Aerocool Quartz. as for mATX, wala gaanong choices na with TG or clear acrylic front. pero you might want to consider these:

    Silverstone PS15
    Tecware M1, M2, M3
    Cooler Master NR400
Cooler Master Q300L, Q300P (acrylic front)
    Armageddon T1G Pro (TG front)

  • ^ san meron Cooler Master NR400?
  • @^: coming pa raw
  • dahil medyo pricey ang itx kaya matx nalang.
i am looking for a case that
    - can fit a 240mm radiator
    - same or about the size of Silverstone PS08 *168mm (W) x 355mm (H) x 400mm (D)*

may i ask for your opinions and suggestions? thank in advance! :)

  • Nice looking case from Cooler Master...

    Cooler Master Silencio S400

  • hey gorgeous!

    Sana maganda thermal performance.

New budget case. Not sure kung mATX ba to or ATX kasi sa isang shop ATX daw, pero sa reviews, mATX.

  • ^ Check the PCIE brackets, parang 5slots lang. I say this is mATX.
  • ^ Thanks sir! Kamusta kaya performance nito? :)
  • Basing from the picture, side vents lang meron sa harap. Pag maliit yung vents niyan, sakal sa hangin yan.

  • Hi mga sir. Any suggestion for 120mm slim fan? I got a Tecware Quad, removed the crappy 200mm front fan and replaced with 2 120mm fans, pero tatama yung isang fan sa GPU ko. 120mm x 12mm sana hanap ko.

I'm on a process of building a SFF & and Mid tower machine after a decade of hiatus from PC world.

  • Anyone here using Cryorig H5 Ult. on a Tecware m1 case?

based kasi sa specs sheet ni M1 yung max height clearance nya is 160mm which is the height of H5 kaso medyo skeptical ako baka kasi sagad na at di na maisasara ng maayos yung glass panel ni M1

    Thoughts?
  • i love how those closed front cases look kaso doesn't help much with airflow. Ive had a Huntkey GX600H case which i ended up selling. Two front 140mm fans didn't help with temps. Replaced it with a Silverstone Precision 15.

i ended up with a Cooler Master NR400. Fans setup is three 120mm SP120 Quiet up front and two case stock fans as exhaust.
  • ^ Meron ka bang nakitang NR400 na walang ODD?
