  salamat sa info boss, ngayon ko lang nalaman kaya pala yung ibang magagaganda at malalakas na router hindi supported ng 3rd party firmware coz of the law in USA
  now lang ako dyan sa ganyan

  Bakit ganun ms ok ang feature ng asus kase 4g capable sya pero ms mabilis ng konti linksys based on numbers. kaso parang mas trip ko yng name ng linksys over asus lols..
  (ako lang ba my ganung feeling sa branding?)

  +/-3USD lang price diff nila sa amazon pero latest ang Linksys with 1.4Ghz dual core procie.. hmm.. Baka waiting muna ko ng update...

  ^cw5354 already had tomato firmware installed out of the box,.
  
  its also compatible with OpenWRT and DDWRT.

  ^Yung cw5354(Linksys WRT54G/GL/GS ) ko DD-WRT nakalagay eh. Ser, baka may tuts/instruction ka na pang newbie, pahingi naman. :)

  May nakapagpagana na ba ng VPN setup mga boss? Gusto ko sana setup ng sarili kong VPN server. Gamit ko yung cdrking na white with DDWRT firmware. Thanks sa sagot!

  ^sa tomato with openvpn or pptp server you can, the easiest thing to setup is pptp yung openvpn, needs for fiddling on configuration, as in grabe dami config. you need to generate your own certs and ecdsa keys, sa case ko Iuse my own computer to generate those, since using the router may take ages to create those keys.
  
  performance wise
  
  pptp without encryption = 2.5MB/s
  ppty with encryption = 1.1MB/s
  
  openvpn with AES encryption = 800KB/s
  
  
  yes openvpn performance sucks on router but suitable for basic stuff. Kung may NAS ka with Atom powered processor on it, you might as well use that instead, sa akin kasi yung atom board ko meron Hardware AES encrypt/decrypt. I can transfer files close to 80MB/s without ramping my CPU to 100%. If I use pure CPU, I can only managed 12MB/s.

  Ang gusto ko sanang gawin is setup ng pptp tulad nung sa mga third party VPN providers tulad ng hotspotshield, psiphon, etc. Pero private ko lang. Iniisip ko pa kung magbabayad ba ako to use a public IP or DDNS. Baka may ibang solution para walang monthly na bayad? Ang ISP ko kasi syempre paibaiba ng IP na binabato sa akin. I want to redirect all my traffic sa server na ise-setup ko kahit nasaan man ako.

  ^ang kailangan lang naman kasi sa pag host ng sarili mong VPN server is a Public IP address, DDNS service is you least concern lalo na kung tomato firmware user ka.
  
  Halos PLDT na lang kasi ang meron Public IP sa mga residential customers nila without additional payment, sa Globe, Bayantel etc... lahat meron additional 700pesos (from Globe and Bayantel) for a Static IP address which is a Public IP.
  
  Pag PLDT DSL/Fibr user ka naman PUblic IP yan by default, Dynamic nga lang pero meron naman DDNS, maraming mga DDNS provider ang Tomato firmware, majority of them are free, recommended ko is mydns,jp and minidns.net
  
  You can also run-away with IPv6, kahit naka private IP ka, makaka connect ka pa rin sa VPN mo, yun nga lang kailangan mo ng IPv6 Tunnel Broker, Google na lang kung ano ano yun. On my quick search, purto naman libre ang mga ipv6 tunnel broker eh.

  Mga masters pano na nga ulit gumawa ng storage device to save the bt files sa ating dd-wrt? kelangan ko na kasing magupgrade to 64gb eh. medyo nakalimutan ko na. salamats sa sasagot.

  pero diko napansin 4mb flash lang po pala ito
  pag enable ko yung QOS lalong tumataas yung ping sa online games
  qos lang talaga gusto ko ksi po pag may naglalaro ng crossfire at mag maglaro din ng LOL naglalag umaangat / tumataas yung ping
  or my ibang settings pa na pwedeng gawin sa router po?

  Hi folks!
  
  Recently, our church's CW-5354U router WAN interface just stays 10 Mbps Half duplex.
  
  Already tried the ff. but no avail.:
  - change duplex settings of neighbor device
  - change cabling
  - plugged different device to check if negotiation will change - not
  - hard reset the router
  - changed the firmware and erase nvram
  
  Do you think, this is already a hardware issue? If yes, any solution to this?
  
  What other router would you recommend as replacement for CW-5354U? Primarily we need firewall blocker, bandwidth limiter and print server feature.

  itatanong ko lang po sana kung anong cd-r king tomato router ang bagay sa needs ko po
  
  torrent router and print server po sa iisang router, meaning ang nakakabit po ay external hard drive at printer for 24/7 usage po.

  ^kung may existing router ka na, you can just buy a raspberry pi, kahit yung 2nd hand na lang yung mga old generation models nila lalo na yung single core lang, that would be enough for your needs.

  mga sir, ano model po ng cdr king router ma rerecomend nyo for QOS purposes lang as Wireless Access Point ung router for PLDT home, currently using wrt54g2 flashed with dd wrt pero buggy po no fix daw according sa forums. salamat!

  mga sirs, medyo matagal na kasi ung mga update sa thread na to.
  ask ko lng kung anong magandang wireless router na bago na pwedeng mag DD-WRT or Tomato? ung may 5Ghz sana.
  preferred sana ung matibay-tibay kasi gagamitin for business.

  after ko po magupgrade d na cya nag bibigay ng DHCP pro my lyt namn ang power at blinking naman ang mga lanports pag my nka saksak.. pro pag buksan ko default address nya na 192.168.1.1 ay walang connection and d nag oopen..
  
  baka po my mga guide kayo paano maayos ito..

  i was at megamall kahapon and may mga boxed "N Routers" na may nakalagay na announcement "With DDWRT Software". would this be already a safe buy?
