    I hope I made the right choice. Sakit na sa ulo si Converge lately. Mas madaming beses nang data ang gamit ng mga students ko dito sa bahay kesa kay Converge.
  • Mga sir, nag request kasi kami ng realignment ng speed ng Plan 1899 25 Mbps namin to 30 Mbps kanina sa Globe Store and na approve naman sya pero ang sabi sa parents ko eh sa January 24 pa daw mag te-take effect yung new speed. Ask ko lang kung ganun ba katagal dapat yun bago mabago yung speed profile?
  • Anyone here play Genshin Impact? Since launch I've always had around 47-50ms pero a few days ago my ping spiked to 250+ ms and hindi na naayos ever since. I noticed around 2am bumababa yung ping back to 2 digits though.

    May problema yata routing ng Globe ngayon papuntang japan. Yung Genshin Impact kasi gamit na Asia server pang Japan. Constant 160+ ping ko sa GI. Yung sa Final Fantasy XIV naman japan server din eh 180+ ping. Valorant JP server 110+. Ewan ko ba kasi yung mga nakaraan sa FFXIV ko 60ms pati sa GI. Try ko gumamit ng mudfish.
  • ^ Might be due to some cable break that connects SG <-> Japan and HK <-> Japan. Specifically the APG submarine cable(which was reported Jan 9, based on available news). Even in Blizzard services, most players from Japan can't connect at all to Oceanic servers because of this. Some ISP of theirs who are not using the affected route are of course unaffected.
    So ISPs (not limited to Globe or PH) using the affected backbone providers will have degraded service to Japan. AFAIK no schedule for cable repair is being announced yet.
  • Guys, pwede ba mag request pa bago yung DNS ng PPPoE? Hindi ako makaconnect sa IPTV ko pag gamit yung globe pero sa PLDT wala naman problem. Nag palit kasi ako from pldt to globe. Nakakainis may buffering sa globe... Nasa akin yung username and password kaso hindi ko nmana mabago... Ang nabago ko lng yung sa DHCP Server.
  • ^ You can't just change PPPoE DNS if you are using their modem. If you want to change the PPPoE DNS you will need a third party router and set your modem to bridge mode making your router PPPoE gateway where you can explicitly set WAN DNS.

    Your option will be to set LAN DHCP server from the modem GUI to use a custom DNS instead. It works the same way as what you want to achieve. This way your client will use the DNS instead of you manually changing the DNS for every device.

    You will need the modem's admin access to achieve this (I assume you already have access as you mentioned). This is the admin credential for FiberHome AN5506:
    username: admin
    password: 3UJUh2VemEfUtesEchEC2d2e

    Then go to Network -> DHCP Server -> DHCP Service:
    Then set DHCP Primary DNS and DHCP Secondary DNS to your liking.
    Apply settings.
    Then reboot the modem for the client to get the new DHCP lease.
  • Di pa ata updated yung "serviceability" map ng Globe sa website. May facilities na sa area namin pero non-serviceable pa rin sa site. May nakakausap na po ba sa sales nila sa hotline?

    Try mo sa FB Group ng Globe Fiber Users madami agents dun. Afaik, mas mabilis pag sa agents basta ingat lang make sure na legit at walang payment sa agent na kahit ano.
  • Okay nag-improve routing ko sa Japan after using Mudfish. Went from 200ms to 80ms on Genshin Impact. Di ko pa alam sa ibang games. Baka nga yung sira sa APG cable yung rason bakit naging worse connection sa JP servers.

    Kaka-renew ko lang din ng [email protected] LTE, kung kelan narenew saka nagkaroon ng fiber facilities. Ang tanong e kung pwede ko kaya pa-convert itong LTE to fiber

    May mga nakagawa na nyan dito at sa FB group from wireless to fiber. Possible yan basta activated na fiber facility sa area mo.
  • Yung mga free 3 months subscriptions ba like HBO GO, Prime, etc. are renewed automatically? sa LTE plans kasi based sa experience ko, yes auto renew sya. Kaya napabayad ng wala sa oras sa hindi ko kelangan services.

    Hussle kung kelangan mo pa itawag para lang ideactivate at wag kang macharge.

    I agree better not activate the freebie unless you intend to use them even after the free period has lapsed. Nabiktima din ako nyan nuon after 6 months dineactivate ko na sa Globe website pero nagrerenew pa din minsan nawala na sya sa SOA pero miraculously bumalik pa ulit after a few months. Buti na lang tumigil na and narefund ko na din yung erroneous charges after the lockdown last year. Kaya nun last na nag-upgrade ako ng plan di ko na inactivate yung 3 months freebie mahirap na.
  • Mukang active na yung ipv6 ng globe. I've been testing it for a couple of hours.





    Problems na napansin ko so far...

    Mataas ang latency saka mabagal and DNS response.
    Not much parallel connection is allowed ( habang nanonood ng youtube ayaw mag load ng ibang page)
    Based on google speed test 50mbps lang max (plan 2899 100mbps)
    Dual stack not working. (kaylangan mo muna disable ipv4)
  • Recently upgraded from 2499 UNLI 50mbps to Go Big 100mbps (not available on their site but still present in their system) but still getting 50% of my download speed for my upload. Unsure bakit tinanggal speedboost sa download ko but my upload speeds are retained. I know other subscribers here in my tower na naka symmetrical speeds na. Anyone knows ano basis nila for that?

  • ^Mukhang hindi pa updated ang upload speed pwede naman pa-adjust yan. Ganyan din ako nun 2nd upgrade ko in 2018 nag-adjust yung DL pero yung UL hindi agad until pina-adjust ko.

    Here's mine since last year nabawasan konti DL pero tumaas ang upload from 2499 Unli to 2899 Unli.

    saan mo pinaadjust sir? may access kaya sila sa globe store? I just find it weird kasi may mga new install na symmetrical speeds na agad. I tried asking several times sa globe chat nila pero di nila masabi na symmetrical na dapat kaya hindi ako makademand.

    Try mo din pumunta sa Business Center baka kaya nila gawan ng request. Sa hotline kasi ako nagpa-adjust ng UL speed nun 2018 pero ngayon hit and miss din kung may sasagot. Mas reliable ang [email protected] App sa akin nun minsan nawalan ako net ng ilang minuto pero bumalik din agad nag-request ako ng site visit using the app the following day may pumunta pa na tech team di ko naman ma-cancel yung tech visit sa app hehehe

    Palagay ko dapat applicable sa lahat kasi nun December may natanggap ako na email from them. Eto ang laman. Hindi lang siguro automatic for everyone pero tingin ko sa lahat yan. Mga a week before nagtake-effect yung UL upgrade sak ko nareceive ko yung email nila.

    Pwede mo din pala try sa [email protected] app kung pwede ka pa-upgrade to Fiber. Pag hindi possible malalaman mo agad kasi sasabihin nya di ka pa eligible for upgrade.
