Unified Help Me Build My Rig (Updated build list on page 2)

  • Hi po mga guru. Magada rin ba yung brand n ripjaws ddr4
  • 2jayzone_10: any ram will do, pagdating sa RAM, ang rule lang is get the cheapest that is compatible with your board.
  • @2jayzone_10

at syempre sir yung babagay sa theme ng rig nyo at gusto nyong design.. :D
  • oh and to add, you may want to settle for vengeance kung gusto mo ng g.skill
since they have the lowest ram clearance (which you'll benefit from if hindi mo alam kung ano RAM clearance na supported ng heat sink fan mo)
but if you are using a AIO liquid cooler, this doesn't really matter.

  • @Sleepgeepy oo nga bro eh. I am just waiting from an update dun sa "LRT2 Station" eh kaso wala pa update from the supplier.
  • I think I posted right before the change so my post was lost haha.

Anyway eto po specs ko (bought last year):
    - i5 4590
    - Seasonic M12II EVO 520w
    - 8gb 4x2 DDR3 1600 Gskill RJX
    - GA-H97M-Gaming 3
    - Fractal Core 1500 (mATX)

    Namimili ako sa 2 GPU:
    - Sapphire R9-390 Nitro Tri-X OC 8GB Gddr5 512Bit
    - Palit GeForce GTX 970 JetStream 4GB Gddr5 256Bit

GTX 970 - performance and efficiency
    R9 390 - performance and price

    Kailan po yung release?
  • Updated December 17, 2023 - AM5 Find Your Own GPU List

    1. Since ginagawa ko na tong list for more than 10 years na ata sa TIPIDPC, it is time for an update.

You are almost golden pag Seasonic or Super Flower ang OEM ng PSU mo.

Update: 2022 - Corsair RMX (2021 ver) IMHO ang the best sa market.

    3. Importance heirarchy, not to be confused with my build flow.

CPU - the more cores/threads possible, the merrier since marami nang apps that can take advantage of both core/thread count and speed
MOBO - as long na (decent) 4-phase and above with a good heatsink for an OC board is okay. More is a bit better, check the bells and whistles of what you need, maybe you don't really need that RGB mobo lighting and etc.
Monitor - IPS>VA>TN. Color Fidelity w/ speed = IPS, Decent Color Fidelity w/ speed = VA. Since modern IPS monitors are as fast at TN, there is no need to get a TN anymore unless you have budget constraints.
SSD - Ideally SSD muna kung may budget since it is getting cheaper if used as a main drive
    HDD

    RAM
ODD - May gumagamit pa ba?

ODD, either you use it or you don't pero hindi naman lahat sa atin ay marunong magformat from the USB, gagawin ko po itong guide as newb friendly as possible.

    ATX
    GPU

Luckily may maayos at murang cases na from Deep Cool, Aerocool, at Tecware.

Luckily compared to 10 years ago, marami narin SEA brands na maayos gaya ng Tecware at Red Dragon.

    Rig assembly, my take:

Marami narin nagbago sa manufacturing process ng mobo ngayon and this tip might be useless but is still good practice.

    2. Cable ties + imagination = cable management!

    Please take note:

    2. A single yet powerful GPU solution is always the best course, iilang developers nalang ang nagsusupport ng multi-gpu option, most of the time ay may negative impact pa sa performance sa game dahil sa driver issues.

    3. Sa builds ko, function muna bago porma. Always.

    5. OCing is not really my thing ^_^ okay na sakin ang 3.8ghz ng Ryzen 5 1600 ko

---3048php Sadly, there is no real "in-between" in this transition mula sa lifecycle ng AM4 to AM5. Since the Ryzen 5 5600 is still potent and is as fast as the 5600X and 12600K and is still not that far behind AM5. If you're going to spend almost 50K, might as well go with the newer platform.

Plus you can get this processor as low as 6000php if you know where to look.

You can still get an R7-5700X if your work needs more cores/threads, but for gaming, the R5-5600 is more than good enough.

How much video memory is enough? <click here for link>
  • @fakuryu, sir tanong lang po, gusto ko kasi magbuild ng pc at ang main purpose ko is to play nba2k16. Ito po ang recommended requirements ng game
    OS: Windows 7 64-bit, Windows 8.1 64-bit or Windows 10 64-bit
Processor: Intel Core i5 or better
    Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics: DirectX 11 compatible (2 GB) or better
    DirectX: Version 11
Hard Drive: 50 GB available space
Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card
    Additional Notes: Dual-analog gamepad

yung dota2 build nyo po pwede na ba sya for 2k16 or pwede ba yung cheapest build nyo if asus naman?

    Thank you
  • Hi All,

Wala nanaman akong plan mag buy/build ng rig ko kasi I was happy with my own semi-rig noon. Till, I replaced my broken HDD with a new one and added a SSD. I knew naman how to put in the components . It all went fine until I needed to re-insert my Graphics Card(had to remove it para maipasok ko ng maayos yung isang HDD), after re-inserting it ayaw mag boot ng pc.That's where it happened, pinuwersa ko yung pag pasok ng card sa mobo.

    MotherBoard Asus Z170-A
    Processor Intel Core i5 6600K 3.5-3.9Ghz 4-Core
Cpu Casing NZXT Source 340/S340, Armory
CoolingCPU: Liquid Deep Cool Maelstrom 120K Hybrid
CoolingCPU Fan Scythe (SCBSK 2100) Big Shuriken 2 Rev. B
cooler fan: Scythe Gentle Typhoon, 1850rpm, 58.3CFM
PSU Corsair RM850M 80+ Gold, Fully Modular

Ang question ko lang is compatible ba yung parts na napili ko for the current parts that I have? And yung sa cooling, any tips on what to choose, kung liquid ba or air coooling? Kahit wala dyan sa mga prospects ko, budget is 50k (can go beyond if needed).

Ang question ko lang is compatible ba yung parts na napili ko for the current parts that I have? And yung sa cooling, any tips on what to choose, kung liquid ba or air coooling? Kahit wala dyan sa mga prospects ko, budget is 50k (can go beyond if needed).

For moderate overclocking (10 to 15% increase in core voltage), sapat na ang air cooler

Kung kaya naman ng budget, get a Core i7 6700K

No need for an 850-watt PSU. A reliable 600-watt PSU will do for a high-end gaming PC with one GPU

If that's the case then I think my old PSU can suffice naman, and can go sa i7. Another question regardless naman ng ilang hdd,ssd or other components ikabit ko sa PSU it won't overload naman no? Not planning on getting another GPU. And is the mobo ok ba?

    CPU: i5-4460 - 8,540
    Mobo: Gigabyte B85M-HD3-A - 3,060
    RAM: Corsair Vengeance 2x4gb DDR3 1600 MHz - 2,590
    GPU: Sapphire R9-390 8GB - 16000
    SSD: Crucial BX100 256GB - 4400
    PSU: Seasonic M12II-EVO 620W - 3,560
    Case: Corsair Carbide 100R - 2,900

    Total: 41,050

  • @Erik

    alaws kayo HDD paps?
  • @matchachloe

  • mga idol, for the i5-4590 since non-OC nmn xa, will the stock hsf suffice? i mean di nmn magkakaissue as long as manageable ung temps?
  • Yep, walang issue yun, basta may at least basic ventilation case mo
  • This should be a good PC setup :)

    http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html
  • question po, pwede ba ako gumamit ng mga gaming video card instead of yung Nvidia Quadro or AMD Firepro for simple 3D animation and modeling? TIA!
  • Updated page 1 of this thread.
Hoping to have stable 60fps high settings when playing league of legends.
