^What model naman and hm ang mga ganung klase ng routers? Main router pldt is not wifi 6 tama? Gagana ba wifi 6 if the main router itself is not? Appreciate your answers sir. Really helps alot.

The PLDT modem/router is independent to the 3rd party router. You can use whatever router you want.

Yes. Backward compatible both ways naman yung WiFi standard although sa experience ko, sulit din kung parehong WiFi 6 yung device at router kasi mas malakas/reliable yung signal at bandwidth throughput ng 5GHz sa amin.

^Thanks. Ang upgrade AFAIK ng wifi 6 over 5 is yung distribution/bigay ng internet between devices. Kahit sabay sabay kayo gumagamit eh hindi nyo mafi-feel na lagging. Ramdam ba yung let's say for example: 2.4ghz connection kayo, isang nag you-youtube sa isang device tapos nag-e-ML ako, hindi ba magfa-fluctuate yung ping ko sa ML?
Anong type of cable ang optimized if mag PLDT->TP Link setup ako? CAT 6? Cat 5e?

I think baka dependent na yan sa QoS feature (Quality of Service) ng router regarding bandwidth priority and sharing across devices. Usually configurable naman yung QoS rules sa router settings. Sa experience ko kasi pag may ibang users/devices na kasabay na may downloads or video streaming habang naglalaro ako ng online games, pag saturated na yung download and upload bandwith, doon talaga nagkakaroon ng lag. As for pings, affected din pero in most cases, depende sa WAN more than the local WiFi network.

Assuming na less than 1Gbps yung internet plan, pwede na yung quality na CAT5e cable. CAT6 or higher, pang longer runs ng 2.5Gbps and above na.

Question po. May actual difference ba kapag gumagamit ng dynamic DNS (DDNS) in lieu of static IP? On the verge of choosing between static or DynDNS, so kailangan ko malaman kung sapat na ba yung DDNS para sa use case ko. Hoping merong maka-provide ng real-world examples, kasi hindi sapat 'yong nabasa ko na articles online e.

based on the specs they are not dual-band so nope. i have personally used the 5358u since it was released 10yrs ago. imho it's not recommended to use them anymore.

Try lang po baka me makatulong Using ASUS rt-ax55 router mga first few weeks ok ung bato ng signal ng 5G then recently bgla humina up to the point na maski speetest ayaw na
all settings are default TIA.....

i personally use this as my main router. it covers our whole 2nd floor (105 sqm) without issues. i upgraded from ac68u to ax86u, previously I can only get a max 400Mbps, after upgrade I now get a max 500Mbps. the ax86 also seems to provide better range and throughput. for wifi 6, this is one of the recommended routers.
my setup below.
1st Floor - asus ac68u (wired access point)
2nd Floor - asus ax86u (main router)

^ may budget naman kaso nanghihinayang lang ako kung ang usage ko lang is internet, stream 1 tv, wala din ako mashado wifi 6 devices.
im eyeing for tplink ax73 ax5400 or asus ax86u.

i tried tuf ax3000 kaso dumami deadspot sa bahay compare sa redmi ax5 ko na router. kaya parang nadala ako bumili ng mahal. :(
kaso eto na yung mga issue naglalabasan na nung dumami yung gumagamit ng wifi.
using redmi ax1800 right now.

if range is a problem, then perhaps you need to look on adding another router/ap.
for the ax86u, it handles 25 devices with no issues.

if you don't have any issues on the existing ax3 and you just need to extend the range then it's best to buy another ax3. it's more practical and possibly less expensive.
the only time I will migrate to a new setup, is if I need a feature that is not currently available on my existing one. or hardware upgrade.

compared to 2.4Ghz range, 5Ghz is really weak. assuming your ax3 is not faulty you should see similar range from other ax3000 routers

to be honest, 5ghz signal strength ng Wifi 6 should be no different compared to 5ghz signal strength ng WiFi 5 even WiFi 4, all of these assuming na lahat pare parehas lang yung transmit power ng mga radio.
majority ng mga wifi radio na binebenta dito sa pinas is only around 100mw or lower, though according to this document from NTC
<click here for link> allowed upto 250mW. So comparing one wifi radio with another might be a bit challenging. bihira lang kasi yung mga APs na meron upto 250mW transmit power unless you go mikrotik, ubiquity, cisco (enterprise) and ruckus.

Yung office ng father in law ko gusto mag upgrade ng switch hub sa small office nila. They have 600mbps internet connection kasi nalilimit pala nung hub yung network nila dahil 10/100 lang pala ito. May masa-suggest kayo? Budget probably 3K to 4K. Mga nakakabit are 4 pcs and 1 printer.

Meron pala 8 port switch na same model. Baka yun na lang kasi 4 pcs lang naman ang naka connect.

pa-help naman mga bossing.
Bumili ako ng Asus TUF-AX5400
tapos meron akong:
Main internet: Skyline Cheetah Broadband.
Backup internet: Huawei B311 4G Router(w/ Smartbro sim).
plan is to do DUAL WAN setup. ok naman upon configurations from main ISP. walang naging issue sa setup.
kaso dito sa backup wala syang internet, kahit hot-standby na sya sa TUF-AX5400. and kahit gawin kong static ip dun sa 4g router ayaw pa rin.
pero kapag naikonek naman directly sa PC yung lan nung 4g router may internet naman.
bale nai-try ko rin sya iconnect sa Xiaomi MI AX1800, pero wala talaga internet na naibibigay yung 4g router.
di ko lang sure kung yung 4g router ang may problema or smart sim(UNLI FAM 999) supposedly unli internet un and pwede magamit sa router for sharing.

does it work kung eto yung gamitin mo na main internet? wala munang dual wan. make sure na magkaiba LAN subnet ni huawei sa LAN subnet ni Asus.

na-try ko na rin bossing kaso di nagana.
and meron ako pinagpalitan na Xiaomi MI AX1800.
Huawei(lan port)--->(wan port)Xiaomi MI AX1800 ganito rin naitry ko kaso hindi nagbabato ng internet yung 4g router.
pero wireless clients and direct to pc meron binabatong internet ung 4grouter.

kung gumagana sa PC then dapat gumagana rin sa router, since treated lang sila as both client.
anu yung IP address ng working PC kapag connected sa Huawei LAN port?
