Any game mag freeze na yung pc, and napansin ko din kahit pag gagamit ng browser pero rare yung instance for that condition.

Sounds like a GPU issue. Did you monitor the system temps (CPU, GPU, etc.) ?
  • ^
Yes, nag stress test na din ako (FurMark) for about ~1 Hour around 75 °C ang max temp. The same din sa CPU (CPU-Z Stress Test) around 70 °C ang temp.
  • Ask lang ulit mga master, currently have a VGA to VGA cable. Recently bought new GPU, it only has DVI-D, HDMI, DP slots.

Now do I only need to buy a DVI-D - VGA adaptor or bili na lang ako ng DVI-D to DVI-D cable? Meron ba difference in terms of quality kung yung cable binili ko instead of only an adaptor? Thanks!
  • @Kimetsu
If your LCD monitor only has DVI-D and VGA inputs, use DVI-D. It's better than VGA because it's a digital signal (VGA is analog).

When you use VGA, the digital signal from the video card is converted to analog, then when it enters the LCD monitor, it's converted back to digital. These conversion stages degrade the picture quality of the video.

    @karding654
If the GPU doesn't crash with Furmark, then it might be a software or driver issue.
  • may tech ba dito na around zambales or gapo???? ty....
  • @awarekuze
Currently naka integrated graphics lang ako, and wala naman crashes so far. Any idea for fixing the GPU or is it dead? Nag try na rin akong 5 old drivers from AMD.

  • pano fix to?

  • Recently bought GPU(it was shipped, 2ndhand), and DVI Cable..
Problem ko, hindi ko alam kung ang may sira is yung GPU or yung DVI cable. Pagka-on ko ng PC diba magsspin dapat yung fan ng GPU for a second/minute? Pero yung GPU fan is hindi naikot.
Can't test out the onboard graphics card as it is quite faulty. Question ko is would that mean na fan not spinning during POST=Dead GPU?
Working naman siya and spinninng yung fan after boot. Hinala ko is baka nasira siya during shipping
  • @kimetsu,
Nacheck mo na maigi pagsalpak and power cables, and how bout sa bootup na e-enable disable mo ba numpad LED, and kelan may huling nakasalpak na gpu sa slot before you bought it

Yes po sir na-check ko ma maigi yung power cable, even tested out my previous defective GPU if nagsspin yung fan nya during POST, confirmed na nag sspin.
Ngayon ko lang naalala, dapat pala nagsalpak ako speaker so I can test out if nagtuloy yung OS(meaning cable may problem)

So nasira yung old GPU ko, then on that time, hindi ko alam kung nasira e yung mismong GPU or motherboard kasi ayaw magtuloy sa OS, confirmed it na GPU problema kasi sinalpakan nung technician ng different GPU and tumuloy sa OS.

Bigla ng restart and M.2 already not detected. Found out that the M.2 drive was defective. TSK. how come? nag short? buti yung drive lang ng M.2 nasira. Asus Stirx z270f yung board. Using M.2 ssd slot

Nag upgrade ako ng windows from 7 to 10 sa first 3 days okay yung unit ko. Tia

  • Hi! Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but having trouble running the Steam version of Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Just got the Definitive edition of the game and when I run it I simply get the prompt that Steam is launching the game and then nothing.

The game just runs in the background - as in nasa task manager sya and walang error message lumabas or anything. All my other games work fine. I can't even get into the game even when I switch to it in the taskbar. Tried launching the game with -fullscreen parameter and still no dice. Only way to shut it down is to force shutdown sa task manager. Pero no error messages. Steam even logged me a playing the game for almost an hour na, when most of the time puro restart lang ginawa ko.

Running a Razer Blade 15 with the ff specs:
i7-9750H (CPU has a -135mV undervolt, but I don't think that has anything to do with it)
RTX2060 (updated to the latest drivers last night)
    16GB RAM
Windows 10 64-bit (fully updated as of last night)

Read in the steam forums to try installing VC redistributables, which I did, pero wala rin.

Heh, these are the hassles that kind of remind me why I quit PC gaming awhile back :P

  • ^natry mo na verify game cache?
  • ^ hi! Same ba yan as verify game files? Verified the files sa steam and wala naman error.
  • ^Do you have a 3rd party firewall or anti-virus? Sometimes disabling it may help while testing if it may affect launch of your game
  • @ himura_drew

    its probably denuno related issue.

Denuvo is just one of the pain-in-the-butt DRM scheme out there and unfortunately, RoTR and SoTR uses that DRM. And the only solution for that game if it doesnt run is install the crack version of the game.

edit" scratch that, latest update of RoRT and SoTR have denuvo removed from it, maybe its more of a software issue, I guess try reinstalling the drivers and stuff.

  • @t3nma

Turned those off too just in case but no dice. Tested Sekiro and MH World and they both run fine. SoTR lang talaga ayaw.

    @polka

Reinstalled all of my drivers and still nothing. I'm just going to try and reinstall the game later when I get home. Hopefully Converge has already fixed my internet by then.
  • Hard starting PC

I have to push the start button several times and each time mga 7 seconds akong naka push sa button. matagal bago mag start. I'm trying to narrow down the problem. btw, i'm using this pc for several years na. ngayon lang lumabas itong problem.

    what do you think?
    1. is it the pc casing "on" button?
    2. or pc case "on" button and its connection to the mobo?
    3. psu? (required power is only around 350w, this psu is 600w) bumibigay na kaya?
    4. psu connection to the mobo?
    5. surge protector? maraming naka plug like modem, router etc. lahat gumagana except sa pc and monitor.

Btw, yung monitor ko ganun din. hindi agad mag start after switch on. lumalabas lang ung logo ng manufacturer tapos hang na or minsan namamatay na. i have to plug and unplug it sa surge protector for several times bago gumana.

what is common sa pc and monitor is that they are plug in the same surge protector. hindi kaya surge protector ang problem at need ng palitan?

added info: pag re-start no problem. pero pag shut down tapos start mo uli.... dun ang problem. basta from off to switching on. parang taong natutulog at tinatamad at ayaw bumangon.

    guys help. ty

  • Hello! Ask ko lang ano mga requirements to clean a computer (physically) ? Should I have this serviced na lang if I've never done it before, kinda worried baka may masira ako sa PC ko. Thank you!
Yung pag remove ng dust sa loob ng case (using paintbrush or vacuum) at least twice a year. Yung sa heatsinks (sa air cooler) or radiator (AIO liquid cooler) at least once a year.

Paintbrush for halos lahat pero sa wide surfaces na accessible ok yung dry or semi-moist (with alcohol) cloth.

Also, wag kalimutan linisin ang peripherals. Superficial cleaning with paintbrush at least once or twice a month, complete cleaning at least every 6-12 months. Pag complete cleaning tinatanggal ko lahat ng keys at linilinis isa isa using wet wipes (yes, top and sides ng each key); yung keyboard area kung saan pumapasok ang keys paintbrush with or without wet wipes. Kung may palmrest sa keyboard kahit weekly yan (or mas madalas) using wet wipes.

  • Help mga sir, broke the brand new TV and the GPU(GTX 960) when I plugged in my HDMI(TV) connector to the GPU, nag spark yung GPU halfway pa lang nung iniinsert ko cable, tapos nawala display, both on the computer and on the TV. Buti na-replace yung TV(used for 1 day), GPU no display na pero naikot fan, may parang burnt part dun sa likod ng GPU.

Now my problem is, baka ma-ulit yung ganito if bumili ako 2nd hand na GPU. Should I buy AVR for our TV?

In a series of unfortunate events ???????? guess what happened AGAIN.
Same problem sa GPU, naikot fan but no display.
    Eto nangyare:
Bought new GPU + HDMI (5Meters,Vention)
I made sure na every power switch ay naka off (1 Power Surge Protector for PC, 1 Panther for TV), even plugged it out off the wall socket.
So yun nilagay ko na on both ends yung HDMI Cable.

  • @Kimetsu

this is a common HDMI issue, if your looking elsewhere, this is also very common on game console specially ps3 and ps4 with defective HDMI.

HDMI is designed to be hot-plug but unfortunately with this HDMI frying issue, you should turn off all the devices before messing with HDMI cables, make sure that the cable is snag fit as well.

there's a 5v 50ma power on HDMI port, of course most of the TV standard dont follow that standard and instead throw something like 5v 2amps on it, this is for the CEC support for HDMI to work properly or for the HDMI dongles that is self-powered to work properly.
