well, my tvplus box finally broke after the forced update (ffs abscbn), they just want that banner ads to be updated everytime I bootup the stb.
potentially broken NAND flash (wear and tear due to constant writes) due to frequent updates.
moved to a generic STB as those box is most likely not going to receive OTA updates prolonging the life of the STB. -

umabot na ba sa at least 10,000 times na update yun tv+ mo?.... ang pagkakaalam ko ang lifespan ng NAND flash, depende sa type nya, ay from 10,000 to 100,000 writes/erase cycles bago masira.... -

Sa opinion ko mas magand talaga channel lineip ng easytv. Pang cable talaga.
Kaso hindi kasing klaro ng cable. May mga pagkakataong nagpipixelated kahit mataas ang signal quality. Based on user reviews. -

There is no such thing as free lunch, you pay subscription or be forced to watch commercials. Either way you pay. Or just go watch PTV 4. Madaming chinese shows doon na libre. Courtesy of duterte.

Well, you're politicizing this page, am I right? Don't blame the admin for the Chinese shows on the government network, matagal nang may Chinese/Japanese/Korean/etc shows everywhere -

When I was a kid, there were these Chinese fantasy martial arts shows that aired on Sunday mornings, though I can't remember which channel. :D -

matagal nang may palabas na chinese tv series sa ptv-4 even before duterte. bata pa lang ako in the 80s, meron na. mga chinese drama at kung fu kung saan bawat lalake at babae ay mahahaba ang buhok. hehehe
regarding paying for the subscriptions, it's the prerogative of businesses if they want some money out of the service. after all, they are the ones putting these technologies out to the public. it's then the public's choice if they want to pay for these services. if you don't want to pay and still want to watch, there are still other options you can hurt the tv networks. you can always download entire tv series from the internet. we do that all the time, don't we? -

Certain versions of ABS-CBN TVplus received a software update. According to DTV Pilipinas page, they enhanced the closed captioning and some minor bugs. -

^ Nag update yung tv plus ko. Nagkaroon ng video resolution sa settings tapos sinagad ko sa 1080. Pero parang wala naman nagbago sa image quality.

^ kasi SD/480 lang yun content na binobroadcast nila at di full HD/1080....
syanga pala, di pa rin nilalabas ni gma yun digibox nila... nag-announce sila last may na june nila ilalabas pero wala pa rin....

As of now PTV HD1, PTV HD2 at STV po ang 1080i ang reso, accdg to some forums
Yung GNN, Hope HD at INC hindi ko sure kung anong resolution

Ung Greentek DTV0-8 may kasama powered booster. Ung Baron wala. -

Hi, may nakapag update po ba dito ng TV+ gen 1? May lagi pong lumalabas na prompt sakin na may update pero after magdownload palaging nage-error na E603: Version Error

@andrei succesfull naman update sakin im using tv+ gen1, after ng update need ko pa imanual reboot para maging ok natakot ako after update nawalan ng sounds kasi hahaa nireboot ko ulit ayun ok na 4yrs na sakin to ok pa din
