Very insightful listen. Neil goes into more detail about the changes made in the show VS the games as well as how the adaptation worked: what they can and cannot do when telling a story in an interactive video game format VS telling the same story in a passive way in live action (and vice versa). Really frames how most video game adaptations up to this point didn't quite work.
Just finished playing lou2. Sana hanggang sa ending maging loyal sa source material si hbo. Lupet na ng story telling sa game sana pati sa tv adaptation.
Maganda episode 3 ng TLOU. And I thought series regular etong si Nick Offerman. Im starting to think na parang Game of Thrones etong TLOU, nobody is safe. Anyway despite the controversial topic sa ep 3, I thought maganda pagkaka presenta. Maganda rin naman talaga pag may diversity or inclusivity basta di lang talaga halatang pinilit. Etong ep 3 for sure yung mga nasa lgbt community eh matutuwa kasi may representation sila. It makes the story grounded. Kasi nga kung magkakaroon ng pandemic or post apocalypse, parte pa rin naman sila ng istorya. Di naman siguro sila mawawala bigla.
Dun sa mga naglaro ng tlou, ganun ba tlga yun may radio with different genre of music as codes? Nice pala tlga siya, parang naengganyo ako laruin haha.
Galing nga neto a, different take on zombie apocalypse.
^ I recommend you check out the companion podcast I linked sa taas. Craig and Neil go into detail about the changes they had to make for the adaptation. Basically, it boils down to the differences on how to tell a story in a video game (active) compared to a show (passive).
Yung story nila Bill and Frank are also told differently sa game (implied) vs the show (explicit). I'm usually not heavily invested in relationships sa shows (same sex or otherwise) but this episode made me care from start to finish. Incredible episode overall.
I also liked the 3rd episode. Love is love regardless of genders. Sa panahon ngayon, non issue na talaga dapat yung mga ganyang relasyon. Wag maiipit sa makalumang pagiisip.
I liked how they ended theirs. I would have done the same if i have nothing else to live for.
nasa Discovery+ pala ito. really can't fathom why some guys can't take no for an answer. Even happens today when a guy is rejected, nasa balita na. smh
