Sa Traffic-shaper/Limiter,
1. Add ka ng new limiter para sa parent
A. Enable = yes
B. Limiter name: DefaultDownload
C. Click Add bandwidth then, ilagay mo, 1500
D. Save and Apply.
2. Sa loob ng DefaultDownload, click mo yong Add para sa Child
A. Enable = Yes
B. Limiter name: OUT
C. Choose Distination
d. Save and Apply
3. Click Limiter again, click add New Limiter para sa Parent.
A. Enable = Yes
B. Limiter name: DefaultUpload
C. Click Add para sa Bandwidth = 546
D. Save and Apply
4. Under ng DefaultUpload, click Add para sa child
A. Enable = Yes
B. Limiter name: In
C. Choose Source
D. Save and Apply
Since may gawa kanang Limiter. Need mo nang e-apply sa Firewall Rule.
Applying Firewall Rule
1. Under Firewall tab, click Rules
2. Click LAN
Kung hindi ka pa nakakagawa ng rules before, usually, walang rules.
1. Click Add to create a rule.
A. Proto type = TCP
B. Source = LANNet
Distination:
C. HTTP
D. In/Out
1. In = In
2. out = Out
E. Click Save and Apply
May makikita kanang Rules, click mo yong Add under the 1st rule para maduplicate na yong rule na ginawa mo.
2. Sa 2nd rule, need mo lang palitan yong Distination = HTTPS.
3. Ulitin mo lang ulit yong ginawa mo para maduplicate para sa pangatlo,
Distination = FTP
4. Distination = DNS
Applying changes:
1. Kapag natapos kana,
A. Click Diagnose
B. Click State
C. Click Re-state
D. Click Reset.
Wait mo, after 2 minutes or less than,
do a speed test. Pakipost mo lang dito yong nakuha mo para malaman ko kung nag-effect.

Good Morning mga Sirs,
Naka pfsense ako then may nakaconnect sya na AP (Cisco Linksys E3200) May internet naman at halos wala naman problema pero ang issue ko is yung mga naka iPhones or IPads dito hindi makadownload at makapag update ng apps nila sa app store, Ano kaya problema dito?

naka pfsense po ako naka limit per IP po ng Download 1500 at Upload 564, naka squid proxy server (Browser lang for youtube etc...)din po ako at squid guard, naka block na po sa squid guard ung advertisements para di na po kukuha ng internet,
kapag po 2 nag youtube nataas po ping ng dota 2, any tips and advise po? working nmn po ung mga gnwa k sa pfsense, ung catching lang po ang hindi ko sure
sa squid proxy server general settings po, hindi ko po ginalaw ung Transparent Proxy Settings at ung SSL Man In the Middle Filtering -

Kung ako na sitwasyonm mu simplihan ko lang setup dyan.
Dynamic limiter sa download at upload, maybe 1.5mbps for d/l then 512kbps for u/l. -

limit mu UDP 80 443
sa Squid, put 100 sa overall bandwidth throttling, which is equal to 1Mbps of your ISP speed.

mga sir/maam who's pfsense experts, mag trtry pa lang akong mag implement ng pfsense firewall and eventually with a suid for web filtering. Any recommended sites na mabilis aralin? And mainstall ko ba pfsense without Centos machine?

para sa akin easiest way is using opendns, then register for a free account and link your free account to yung ip or dynamic ip then manage webfilter within opendns. -
guys, pa tulong lang, na setup ko na ung pfsense v2.2.3, may wan ip na ako and may LAN ip na ako. nakakakuha naman ng dhcp address. may default gateway, nag try ako maglagay ng rules but ndi pa rin makalabas ng net. may kulang pa ba ako? Thanks
Just an update, ung pfsense na server nakaka ping and tracert palabas, ung users lang na naka dhcp ang ayaw.

solved na. Yung issue is naka TCP ung protocol, so nung nilagay na any ung protocol, that's the time na gumana. Thanks

Ganu ba kalayo performance ng Intel Pro 1000 versus Realtek 8169 chip?
virtually none with latest build, magkakatalo lang yan sa stability ng connection. on early version ng pfsense, and issue ng Realtek 81xx based chipsets is bumibitaw yung connection, well at least according sa forums, which had a workaround driver replacement for 8168 based chipset back then kasi may gumagamit ding iba na based on Atom 330 or Atom D510 which uses the RT8168 network chipset. Replacing the driver did make it stable. Pero sa latest version ng pfsense ngayun which also had a latest 8169 generic driver that make the realtek chipset stable.
to be honest wala naman na problema sa Realtek 8169 based driver (technically, any 81xx based chipset uses that same driver), according to my experience, based on Atom board D510 stable naman sya using that same network chipset which is a realtek 8168/8111 using the 8169 driver connected on LAN side, with addition of Intel PRO 1000 dual port PCI NIC which used naman for dual wan. About 50+ days uptime no issues naman. -

May internet naman sa server. Pero hindi siya pumapasok sa pfsense.
LOCAL network can access webgui. But no internet. -

Any advice mga master ng pfsense anong possible solutions kasi madalas na didisconnect ung wifi ko sa pfsense ang settings ko ung bridge mode lang using sa wifi router ng dlink. pansin ko pag madami na nakaconnect nag lolog na ung wifi. need ko na ba mag upgrade ng wifi router? or i dedicate ko ung wifi using wifi card? para part na sya ng hardware. TIA
1. kung upgrade any advice po na magandang wifi router. (Asus RT-AC5300 Wireless )
2. kung hardware base na wifi any advice po para sa wifi card supported ng pfsense na subok nyo na.

1. why buy a router, just buy a dedicated AP like what @st_anger_711 suggested. If youre buying a router, you either wasted a heft of money with a function you might not be using (like the router feature, since if you buy that router, it will just act as a dump AP, or just stop using pfsense overall and use that router)
2. most of the AtherOS based wifi chipset are compatible, also Ralink, just avoid Broadcom wifi chipset. Just check the wifi adapter comparability list on pfsense and/or freebsd. -
patulong naman gusto ko sana magpa setup ng pfsense dto sa shop ko . mga 10-12 units lang naman po . yung 10 kasi sa shop yung 2 units sakin at sa kuya ko . yung unit ko server ko narin sa shop pero pang manual timer lang. kumbaga manual ko binubuksan ang pc at pinapatay then sinasabi ko lang pag time na ..
gusto ko sana magpa setup ng pfsense . kaya kya nun si 5mbps plan pldt dsl .. nakaka inis kasi yung magplay ka lang ng video 100-200 ping na . minsan 500 ping kapag may youtube or maliit na DL .. nagagalet si customers .. sana may makatulong sakin . yan po kasi need ko ngaun sa shop . cavite area po . aron nga pala .. pa private message nalang po ako lage naman opo akong online .. maraming salamat

Hi mga master any suggestion po for AP yung high throughput speeds to keep the performance and network reliability at a high level dami na kasi naka wireless sa amin may mga uploading and downloading madalas na lag na connection pag marami na sila bandang hapon pero pag umaga konti palang ok naman pero pag nag uploading and downloading na sila un lag na connection. -TIA

Try to check Ubiquiti AP, gamit ko sa office.. so far stable naman almost 1 year na..
Meron din sya roaming feature and easy lang management.
