For Me. Size is a personal Preference.
In my Mini Sala on my Room, I use my almost Three years old Sony XBR-438000E TV with a distance of 1.5m. The Distance for me is just right.
In my PC Setup. I use an ASUS XG438Q, a 43 Inches Monitor with 1m distance which for my uses is just right for me.
While in Our Sala, been using a Sony 65-A8F, an Oled 65 Inches TV for 2 Years now. The viewing Distance is about 3.5m. No complaints with US.

Nandito ka din pala (from GFC). Hehe. Same tayo TV. I think considered 2m na din yung viewing distance nung iyo if yung tiles is 60x60cm.
Anyways with regards to size, I'll be getting a new TV din kasi pero syempre if kukuha na ng bago is much bigger 'dun sa current TV (Sony 43X8000E) ko which is ilalagay ko ito sa sala and sa bagong TV is sa living room - right now pinag-iisipan ko ulit if just go for 55" na lang kaysa 65". Baka kasi mamaya issue ko din yung eye strain though mamaya naman oks lang pala si 65". Hehe.

Good morning mga sir. What could be the cause of these red streaks on the top portion of the screen of our LG UH7700 LED TV? It is noticeable when there is a dark background or scene or picture displayed on the screen. It is a 2016 model and it is only used for about 8 hours a day.

^ May possibility ba na mag worsen pa yung issue sir? Nakakapanghinayang lang na wala pang 4 years yung TV eh nagkaganito na. Hindi namin ginagamit yung TV for extended periods tapos for Cable TV and Blu-ray viewing lang siya.

45w for 12 hrs if 10-11pesos/kwh = 5.4-5.94 pesos/day
115w for 12 hrs if 10-11pesos/kwh = 13.8-15.18 pesos/day
W x hrs / 1000 x cost(kwh)

I hope so.

akin po static lang at nasa bandang baba, kaya carry lang naman. okay po kung palitan ng panel, hope may warranty period rin yung panel na ipapalit.

^ not sure if same issue as yours pero yung j6000 series ko nun meron horizontal line sa bandang baba. Had it warrantied before matapos yung 2 years. Dapat palit panel pero walang available so dapat palitan buong tv same model pero wala na rin stock. Option na lang is palit ng other model with the same price or upgrade and add cash. Opted to upgrade to mu8000 since pag upgrade, yung warranty magiging 2 years ulit. Ang labas parang bumili ako bagong tv.

tanong lang po mga master, I bought a Sony KD-49X8000G this year. I don't usually use it as a second monitor for my pc kasi satisfied na ako sa setup ko although connected naman via HDMI. Today try ko gamitin sya as a 2nd monitor at na pansin ko lang na may color degradation. Pag binabago ko resolution lalong pumapangit.
Any suggestion on the correct settings? TIA

Native resolution is at 3840x2160, HDR is auto

I have the 43KDL8500G and I don't have HDR on in Windows 10, unless I need to watch HDR content. I set the desktop resolution to native/60, then use YCR420 (not RGB) coz windows tends to blink a lot if i'm using RGB because of my 4K HDR Switcher and 4K HDR Splitter setup. (Not really the TV's fault, I just don't like the excessive handshaking that's happening when I have two devices that have to negotiate HDMI handshake first)
Sometimes Win10 will invoke 30fps (you'll notice it when the cursor changes shape and speed) when videos will override the resolution and fps of the desktop, or worst, games. Pero i think the color problem is the manifestation of going back and forth from SDR or 10bit or 12bit color space in Windows 10. So i prevent it by picking 420 and no HDR so it's always SDR or 8bit + dithering with HDR.

tanong lang mga sir, may negative effect ba sa mga modern smart tv yun basta pagdisconnect na lang ng power from power adapter? naging habit kasi ng pamankin ko na pinapatay sa switch sa extension plug instead pressing the power button. medyo napaisip lang ako baka magkafuture damage. sinasaway ko pero hindi naman ako palagi nasa bahay to see it. thanks

^possible. parang computer lang since ang smart tv ay may built-in computer. so pwedeng ma corrupt. chances are better brands have something in place to avoid it since expected ang power outage. pero malaki ang chance na masira kung daily eh ganun ang ginagawa mo. Kung hinde man ma corrupt eh pwedeng ibang parts ang tamaan.
