good pm po mga sir.
meron ako sony x80h 42in android tv kakabili lang recently.
then meron old home theater na LG 5.1 (dolby digital) sira na remote.

^netflix supports 5.1 surround on select titles.
<click here for link>
also look for audio settings sa tv mo, meron ka pa kailangan i-configure dyan to receive/play 5.1

^ sa audio output settings ng TV, kung naka-set to PCM try mo i-set to RAW or Bitstream

@gantiong, change the TV speaker settings from "TV Speakers" to "Audio system".

Depends on the budget. Brands such as Sony, LG, and Samsung mga entry level nila na 4k 43" may range from 23-27k. 55" nasa 28-35k.
Meron din cheaper brands such as TCL, Sharp, Panasonic siguro mga 3-5k cheaper.
Meron din mas cheaper pa than those mentioned pero at your own risk na. hehe!

^depende talaga sa budget. If you have the budget for the bigger brands like Sony,LG,Samsung, better na yun ang kunin.
Not sure about HDMI 2.1 kung magiging mainstream na siya this year. Usually nakikita yan on the mid-level to high-end models since majority naman doesn't need that function yet plus the panels should be a native 120hz also.

May mga seller online (mga sales agent siguro?) na nagbebenta ng 55" TCL C815, brand new stock from warehouse daw, payment on delivery, with warranty, etc. Worth it pa ba ito at that price or better abangan na lang yung 2021 models? Or baka mas bagsak presyo pa kaya nito once dumating na talaga mga newer models. Muntik ko ng patulan ito dati kasi akala ko 120Hz and FALD na din yung 55 inches, pero yung 65 inches and up lang pala yung ganun. Gagamitin ko sanang gaming TV for PS5. Masyado kasing malaki 65" since 2 meters lang layo ko sa screen, and ayoko sana gumastos more than P40k.

^try direcho mismo sa appliance store and haggle with them. Kaya nila ibigay din ng ganyang price or almost ganyan. With peace of mind ka pa when it comes to the 7 days replacement and warranty.
If you really want a 120hz FALD TV, check the X90H na. I think you can get it at 50k for the 55"

^though expect mo rin higher prices for the newer models. Pero kung shoot naman sa budget why not. or better, go with OLEDs na :D
-
judef
on

Iwas ako sa OLED kasi mostly for gaming talaga, gagamitin ko ding monitor for gaming/encoding PC so maraming mga bright elements or logo na posibleng ma-burn-in kasi babad sa screen. Also, naka-on yung ilaw ko lagi kapag naglalaro, may ambient light at backlight pa, so ma-o-overpower niya yung OLED.

Might go 65 oled at the end of 2021.

Iba talaga plasma or even the old LCD models ng Panasonic.
